The Forerunner 955 Solar keeps the essentials on your wrist with built-in music (download up to 2,000 songs from playlists on Spotify and Amazon Music, smart notifications for calls, text messages, social media updates, and notifications from an iOS or Android smartphone athletes.
It also offers security and tracking features to keep outdoor training safe by sending an athlete’s live location to selected emergency contacts – or automatically sending a message when an incident is detected.
While riding indoors, athletes can also control a Tacx Smart trainer directly from the watch via ANT+ technology for course simulation, automatic resistance changes and training prompts when using courses or workouts. In addition, Forerunner 955 Solar can be personalized with custom watch faces, data fields, and apps and widgets from the Connect IQ Store.

To help athletes achieve their next PB (Personal Best Time), Forerunner 955 Solar includes key performance and training tools from Firstbeat Analytics™ such as VO2max, Training Load, Performance Condition, Training Effect and more. In addition, new indicators such as HRV status, recent training history and performance give athletes a better insight into their overall training status – and whether they are training productively, at peak performance or hard.
Daily Training Suggestions provide athletes with daily training guidance for a full week based on their fitness level, overall well-being, and even adapt to race plans created with the new race widget. Using a running dynamics pod or HRM-Pro monitor (each sold separately), athletes can track running dynamics such as cadence, stride length, ground contact time and more. With a compatible Garmin power meter (sold separately), athletes can also track their cycling dynamics, e.g. B. Sitting/standing position, performance phase and off-centre of the platform. The Forerunner 955 Solar can also track a swimmer’s distance, stroke, pace, personal records and more.
