The powerful 16-inch MacBook Pro is at an all-time low – The Verge | Hot Mobile Press

If you need something more powerful than the new M2-powered MacBook Air, last year’s 16-inch MacBook Pro is now available on Amazon for the lowest price yet. For a regular $2,499.00, Amazon is selling the M1-powered model with a 10-core CPU, 16-core GPU, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD for $2,249 – a price that Best Buy is currently matching. We were very impressed with the 16-inch device, which offers a mini-LED display that the new MacBook Air lacks and fantastic performance that makes it the most powerful laptop we’ve ever used for content creation and creative tested work. The laptop also boasts some of the longest battery life we’ve seen. Also, the port selection is great; While the MacBook Air only allows for one external display, the 16-inch MacBook Pro lets you use three external displays and a 4K TV at the same time. If you’re interested in an alternative to Spotify, new and returning subscribers can now get Apple Music for free from Best Buy for six months. The service offers more than 90 million ad-free songs that you can listen to with spatial audio and also offers support for Dolby Atmos. Are you traveling this summer? A portable power bank that can charge your laptop, phone, and other devices while you’re on the go can come in handy. Zendure’s SuperTank Pro is an excellent choice with its 26,800mAh battery that can quickly charge your devices thanks to two USB-C ports that support 100W input/output charging rate. In contrast to its predecessor, however, the aluminum power bank contains a total of four USB-C ports, so you can charge two 13-inch MacBook Pros and two phones at the same time, for example. There’s also a helpful OLED screen on the side that shows the remaining battery life and how long it’s taking to charge the charger.

The SuperTank Pro is a solid travel charger that gets even better today because you can now buy it from Wellbots for just $149.99 instead of $229.99. The retailer even offers free shipping. Read our review.

The little second-gen Echo Show 5 is a great smart bedroom display.

If you missed the record lows we saw on smart displays during Prime Day, here’s another chance to save big. Both the second-gen Echo Show 5 and the second-gen Google Nest Hub are still almost half the price at certain retailers. While it’s not as low as the $34.99 price we saw on Amazon on Prime Day, you can still pick up the second-gen Echo Show 5 for $39.99 and $44.99 -Dollar ($40 discount) at Kohl’s or Target. The second-gen Google Nest Hub, meanwhile, is still available at Target for around $54.99 ($45 off).

If you’re an Amazon Alexa fan or are already embedded in the Amazon ecosystem, you might want to check out the Echo Show 5 deal. The small 5.5-inch Echo Show 5 is the best Alexa-enabled smart display for the bedroom, which makes a good smart alarm clock because you can put the device to snooze mode with just a tap. This is in addition to the typical features that Alexa-enabled displays offer, like the ability to set alarms with your voice, play music, and control a range of smart home devices. Amazon Echo Show 5 (second generation)

Amazon’s Echo Show 5 is an ideal smart display for a bedside table. You can use Alexa to set an alarm, play music, control smart displays, get a weather report, and more with Alexa. When the alarm goes off, all you have to do is tap the top of the Echo Show 5 to snooze it.

If you prefer Google Assistant over Amazon, you should go for the Nest Hub at $54.99. We think this is the best smart display with Google Assistant, with reliable sleep tracking capabilities and a 7-inch screen that automatically adjusts to ambient lighting. This makes the photos displayed on the screen look like they are real paper prints, making this a great digital photo frame. Read ours Second generation Google Nest Hub Review.

Google Nest Hub (second generation)

The second-generation Nest Hub is Google’s smallest smart display, with a 7-inch touchscreen that can automatically adjust to the lighting in your room. New to the latest version is the ability to automatically track your sleep patterns using the Soli radar chip.

Google’s Nest Thermostat is even cheaper than it was on Prime Day, at least in select colors. Typically $129.99, Amazon is currently selling it for $86.09, down $2 from what it was during the shopping event. Admittedly, the Google Nest Thermostat isn’t as good as the older Google Nest Learning Thermostat and doesn’t adapt to your habits. However, it’s still a decent smart thermostat if you’re in the Google ecosystem and looking for something relatively affordable. It’s easy to install and set up, you can control it remotely from your smartphone, and the eco modes could potentially help you save money on your heating and cooling bills. Read our review.

Google Nest thermostat

The entry-level Nest Thermostat from Google is a basic thermostat that has a minimal aesthetic thanks to its mirrored screen. It doesn’t automatically adapt to your habits, but it’s easy to install, controllable with your phone, and compatible with most HVAC systems.
