Twitter is rolling out a new feature on iOS and Android that will allow users to extract short audio clips from Twitter Spaces for easier sharing on the platform, the company has said announced.

Anyone in a live audio discussion room can create a clip to share elsewhere on Twitter, allowing others to hear the best parts of a live stream without having to listen to the whole thing, and the clips expire after 30 days.

The feature’s widespread rollout follows limited testing that began in March. At the time, only Spaces hosts could generate the clips, but now any listener can create their own to share on the platform. For now, the feature is limited to Twitter app users on iOS and Android, but the company says it will come to Twitter web users later.

Twitter has gradually added features to Spaces over the past year, such as B. the ability to listen to recordings of Spaces that have already taken place and the introduction of ticketed Spaces, which allow creators to pay for access to a live discussion.
