Apple was honored this week with nominations for acclaimed documentaries from the News & Documentary Emmy Awards, including Best Documentary and Outstanding Investigative Documentary for the compelling modern warfare documentary The Line; Outstanding Science and Technology Documentary and Outstanding Sound: Documentary for the landmark nature documentary “Fathom”; Outstanding Adaptation: Documentary for the award-winning film 9/11: Inside the President’s War Room; and Outstanding Sound: Documentary for the Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson music documentaries.

These are the first nominations for Apple’s News & Documentary Emmy Award and follow a series of awards for Apple Original films, documentaries and series, which in just under three years have achieved 250 wins and 1,121 award nominations, including this year’s Oscar winner for the best film “CODA”. after its global launch.

Apple also broke records for the second year in a row in 2022 with 52 Primetime Emmy Award nominations across 13 titles, including Best Drama, Best Comedy, Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special Program, Leading Actress in a Drama, Leading Actor in a Drama Series” and “Lead Actor”.
